Sweden's representative to the UN Security Council has voiced support for the Kosovo Negotiator Team for dialogue with Serbia.
He has encouraged women, including those from civil society, to join this team.
Sweden's representative has said that the issue of forming the Kosovo Army is a matter of the state of Kosovo, while calling on Pristina and Belgrade to continue dialogue, as this is also important for the security of the region.
During his address to the UN Security Council, the Swedish diplomat called for the formation of the Kosovo Army in the coming years to be transparent, while adding that the international community should focus on reaching the comprehensive agreement in the process.
He said the recent actions of Kosovo and Serbia were not appropriate, and called for dialogue to continue because it is important for the security of the region.
“The future of Kosovo and Serbia is in the EU and our message is that Pristina and Belgrade will show constructive in dialogue”, he claimed.
