Speaking from the EU office: No new date for dialogue without taxing Serbia

The European Union for Metro Gazette shows that there is no date for the meeting for dialogue, without the removal of the tax on Serbian products. The European Union for Metro Gazette shows that there is no date for the meeting for dialogue, without the removal of the tax on Serbian products.
The trilateral meeting in Brussels last month (was November 8, 2018) and the last time between Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, Serbia's Aleksandar Vucicici, and the European Union's High Representative, Federica Moghrini, was considered light and with small possibilities for agreement between the two countries.
Despite the tense situation at the above-mentioned meeting, the two presidents had agreed to follow-up meetings
But, a few days after the meeting in Brussels, Kosovo decided to raise to 100 per cent the tax on goods imported from Serbia, just two weeks after it prompted severe reactions by the European Union on a 10 per cent tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
And the Serbian president, since then, has conditioned the continuation of the dialogue with the removal of the tax in question. He has said he will continue the dialogue only when taxes are removed in question.
He even went against US President Donald Trump, who through a letter sent yesterday to the two presidents -- the Kosovar and Serb -- demanded that they use this historic moment to finalise the agreement.
Unlike Thaci, Vuci said he disagrees with Trump that they are behind the solution with Kosovo.
Teramp says we've entered the final phase, I can't fully agree. I don't think we're close, Vucic said today.
The European Union office in Brussels, in a response to Metro, has said it is not yet set up for the next presidential meeting for dialogue and the same will continue with the removal of the tax.
The EU laments the government's unilateral tariffs on imports from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as imposing non-tariff barriers and insists on removing them immediately.
The introduction of these tariffs harms the economic interests of Kosovo and its people, lowering trade circulation and lowering Kosovo's authenticity as a country for investment and business, the EU Office's response reported.
Joining future meetings: Our work is continuing. As discussed in recent dialogue, we will remain in constant contact in the days ahead to assess the continuation of the meeting.
When there's something to announce, we're gonna do this, they said from this office.
Despite pressure, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has declared he will not remove the tax on Serbia, without mutual recognition.
