Serbia's resident, Aleksandar Vuciq, has voiced pessimistic about continuing the dialogue in Brussels, saying the process can only continue after the tax is lifted.
In his concluding address to the UN's KS, the head of the Serbian state said Serbia should not be blamed for everything, but it is Kosovo who has formed the military and imposed taxes on Serbian goods. He has expressed fear at the support the Kosovo Army received from powerful states.
I also thank those who wanted to hear us at least, as no one found a paragraph or a resolution, which says Pristina has the right to form the Army. It was stressed that Resolution 1244 does not prohibit the formation of the military, but did not stress any article where this allows the formation of the Army by Pristina”, he said.
He has spoken even about Kosovo's non-membership in Interpol, saying Pristina must work much better on the fight against organised crime. Vuciq said the mayors of Kosovo's majority Serb municipalities oppose forming the Kosovo Army, and that they see this “as a risk to their survival”. “We will continue with dialogue when Kosovo lifts the tariff decision. I'm not so optimistic that my concerns are even bigger today than they were yesterday and I think. I hope one day we will be able to reach this possible agreement with Pristina, but recently everything that happened has brought us back 6-7 years”, he said.
