Police in the majority of Bosnian Serbs have arrested a person seeking the truth for his son's death. His request has been supported by many who have organized a series of protests. Police arrested him for failing to answer the call for questioning.
Police arrested Davor Dragicevic in Banja Luka, the capital of Republika Srpska in Bosnia. Besides him, police arrested other people, including Davor's former wife. His family lawyer has said he was hurt during the arrest, but police have denied it. The clash between police and civilians in Banja Luka's central square is seen in a video published on social networks.
The European Union mission in Bosnia has issued a statement in which they are said to be following recent developments in the case. Today's <x0nd sequence of events sends negative and alarming signs of the rule of law”, the European Union statement said.
The dead boy's father founded the move “Justice for David” after the suspicious death of his 21-year-old son in March of this year. He was found dead in a stream a week after he disappeared. According to his father, the boy was kidnapped, mistreated, and murdered.
