Although several days have passed since Haradinaj's meeting with Moghrin in Brussels, media in Serbia are continuing to deal with this tense meeting.
The Serbian newspaper Blic, in an article dedicated to this event, writes that a meeting that started quite well ended in a turbulent manner.
This newspaper, calling to its diplomatic sources, claims Moghrin was concerned by Haradinaj's insistence on not removing the tax.
“From diplomatic circles we have been told that the meeting began normally, but ended in turmoil and that the result was not only to cancel the conference, but also to a joint statement that had not been issued. Moghrin was upset because Haradinaj at all times the blame for the tax moved him to Serbia. The atmosphere according to resources was very bad. They got angry and nobody wanted to give up their” attitudes, the paper writes.
According to this scripture, the meeting had been forecast how long it would last, and that the Kosovo delegation did not like it.
The primary topic was rule of law and reforms. However, Moghrin made a lot of criticism for the 100% tax, saying it is a violation, and calling for Pristina to withdraw that decision”, Serbian Blitz sources say.
The Serbian newspaper says the Kosovo prime minister heard it all, said publicly that he does not intend to withdraw.
After that, he also pressed fierce accusations of failure for the EU to grant visa liberalisation to Kosovars.
He said the idea for territories destroyed the EU dialogue and position. He also stated that anyone who accepts the idea of changing borders is traitor”, Serbian sources quote.
The problems at this meeting were confirmed by the Kosovo side itself.
The government was said to have cancelled the conference due to differences in attitudes.
