Customs officers have managed to stop an egg truck allegedly smuggled from Serbia.
According to Dogana, during the patrol patrols of Mitrovica Skenderaj, customs units have noticed a license truck since Mitrovica's direction.
“Since the truck has been profiled as suspicious, officers have been tracked. The driver has refused to stop, and then, along with police assistance, there has been a halt. After the ban has been done, even the grip and driver and congregator, goods in the truck did not possess relevant” documentation, says Kosovo Customs through a communique.
In addition, it is said that according to preliminary estimates on the truck there were 500 packages of eggs. Trucks and goods have been banned temporarily until counterprocedure procedures have been initiated against suspects.
Customs also stresses that it is committed to protecting citizens from smuggling, as well as fighting the informal economy.
