Palmer for Bosnian media has declared that the United States of America strongly supports reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia on normalisation of relations, which would pave the way for Kosovo and Serbia to the EU, broadcast Radio Free Europe.
This would contribute to the security situation in the Western Balkans. Such an agreement would promote stability and peace in the entire region”, the US official has said.
Palmer has asked Kosovo authorities to remove the 100 % tax on goods originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that the United States of America considers this measure an obstacle to continuing dialogue.

This approach of the United States of America to Western Balkan countries will not change, because it is a continuing policy that ambassadors apply in some countries, despite changing administration”, he added.
For the 100 % tax set by the Government of Kosovo for products originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina has again reacted to Serbia's ambassador to Belgrade, Kyle Scott.
Kosovo-set “Taxa not only damages consumers and businesses, but also closes the door of dialogue. We should not miss the opportunity for long-term peace and stability in the region”, he wrote on Twitter.
