Russia's “Army in Serbia guarantees security in Balkans”

The fact that the situation in the Balkans on 17 December has been on the agenda of the Federation of Russia's Security Council, proves that the region is entering the focus of Russian national security interests. In addition to the military political problems related to NATO's expansion in the Balkans, the toughening of the Kosovo conflict will bring massive new waves of refugees, a permanent increase in many terrorist and extremist activities, as well as increased narcotics trafficking. By provoking bloody chaos in the Balkans, which can also cause the dissolution of the EU, Americans surely want that “read to their European allies, who do not always follow American course and reinforce their position as the continental gendartar of Europe. But for Moscow, for which many European countries remain even more important, among other things as European partners, this scenario is totally unacceptable. For this reason, Kosovo's conflict takes special place in the national security spheres of Russia's Fedetar”, Belgrade's “gazeta “novost” quoted Kobankovski as writing.
