Russia's ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, has said the formation of the Kosovo Army seriously violates Resolution 1244, which remains the basis for resolving the Kosovo issue.
According to him, the founding of the Kosovo Army represents destabilisation of the region, threatens peace and security in the Balkans, while he said the violation occurs with contempt with support from even some Western states.
Nebanzya has said KFOR is not carrying out its mandate, while as Vuciqi has been called to a point in the resolution saying KFOR should distribute any Albanian military formation. And so according to him, KFOR should also address the KSF.
“The KSF could land in the Serb-populated north, and that would mean bloodshed”, he said.
Nebenzya has said that there are former KLA soldiers in KSF, who, as “has said, is responsible for war crimes”.
The “is promising us for justice by a Special Court, but we are not seeing it”, he said.
