The controversial contract between Kosovo Telecom and Z-Mobile could completely break off from the shareholder, in this case the Kosovo government. The latter has proposed establishing a commission with field experts, which will make the assessment of “all commercial agreements between Telekom and Z-Mobile”.
The demand to investigate this contract, which risks getting Telekom even 30m euros, has come from the Public Enterprise Interministerial Commission, which operates under the Economic Development Minister, writes the Economic Bulletin.

“Monitoring the Ministerial Commission for Public Enterprises for the Founding of the Staff Experts to analyze commercial agreements between Kosovo “Telekom” and “Dardon.net” says in the document prepared by the Government with the points to be discussed at the next meeting of the Government, which is expected to be held today.
The Economic Bulletin finds out through reliable sources that this contract has been one of the reasons for Gent Beglo's surprise resignation from chief office. According to these sources, Prime Minister Haradinaj has consistently demanded from the leader-in-chief, resigning to completely sever the contract between Telekom and Z-Mobile.
Further, concrete action has been taken. The establishment of this commission to assess all agreements between Telekom and Z-Mobile is expected to pave the way for the company's Board, depending on the results, to come with a decision.
Unlike the end of 2016, Kosovo Telecom lost the case with Z-Mobile at the Arbitrazhi International Tribunal. Under that decision, Kosovo-Vala's Telekom must pay about 30m euros to Devolli Group or Z-Mobile. This decision is expected to bankrupt the company, once the most profitable in the country, writes Economic Bulletin.
