Luxembourg, world's first free public transport country

Currently, tickets cost about 2 euros, where in a small town covers almost the entire trip. To operate the transport system in Luxembourg costs about 1 billion euros annually, but as a result of concessional bids, prices are only 30m euros annually.
This decision came after a study in 2016, which turned out to be an average of 33 hours in traffic. Luxembourg has a population of 600,000, out of whom some 200,000 people live in France, Belgium and Germany cross the border every day to work in this city.
Even in several large US cities, free transportation is offered to reduce road overload. Following the promise of free transport, the new government in Luxembourg is also considering the possibility of legalising cannabis.
