Special Prosecutor Silas Hoxha confirmed about Calxo. com that today during the day, they will hand over the indictment, complete in the case known to the public as “Venterians”.
“Today during the day the indictment, met under the court's request for veterans, will be handed over to court”, Hoxha has declared.
Today is the last day when the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo should hand over to the Court the fulfilled indictment of the case known as the “Venters”.
The incident was back on October 9th 2018, after the Constitutional Court in Pristina had asked the Kosovo Special Prosecutor to improve the indictment, thus leaving 30 days available to meet and change.
The special prosecutor after failing to hand him over within the deadline set at the hearing, had asked Judge Nushe Kuka-Kaj for an additional 30 days.
Based on this additional deadline, December 7th 2018 is the deadline for handing over the act.
In order to complete and clarify the indictment, Judge Nushe Kuka-Maj had decided to turn the charge back.
Under the verdict, the prosecution should clarify how the accused committed the criminal act: Agim Ceku, Nuredin Lushtaku, Sadik Halijaga, Shumbin Demalijaj, Qele Gashi, Shukri Buja, Ahmet Daku, Rrustem Berisha, Faik Fazliu, Smajl Elezaj, Fadil Shudreaj and Xhavit Jashar.
The court also has a unclear number of people who are allegedly profiting illegally, so it requires the Special Prosecutor to clarify the number of beneficiaries whether there are 20.238 or 15,115 persons who receive pensions from the Kosovo budget.
In addition, the indictment includes the prosecution's request for the suspension of the pension payment for 20 thousand and 238 veteran fighters until the end of the criminal procedure, and according to the court of Nushe Kuka-Mekaj case, it would be better for such a case to be addressed in any other procedure the cause of procrastination to the limit of this trial.
Because it's a huge number of people, exceeding 20.999, it's clear that deciding on a wealth of judicial requirement along with criminal procedure would devalit the criminal case as a second-hand issue and put the procedure back to unlimited limits, so I consider that such a case to be addressed in any other procedure with the prosecutor's initiative “, says the Court's decision.
