Hundreds of France's police forces are searching in the eastern part of the country for the 29-year-old assailant, who on Tuesday opened fire at a Christmas market, leaving two people dead and 12 others injured.
During the attack, 29-year-old immigrant named “The Lord is the largest” in Arabic.
Prosecutor Remy Haytz said that “considering his target, his mode of action, his profile and the testimony of those who have heard him shout” Allahu Akbar, “The anti-terrorism police have been called into action”.
