Hoxhaj, who once tasted Serbian brandy in mid-Pristina, tries to take credit for taxes on Serbian products

Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has again tried to receive praise for the 10 per cent tax that the Kosovo Government had imposed on Serbian goods months ago, to replace it with 100 per cent. In Info Magazine, Hoxhaj again reiterated the view that the 10 percent tax was [...]
“10% tax has initially been initiated as an idea from me, and you can ask Prime Minister Haradinaj. Beyond this tax has not been directed against dialogue more is the move of chess in bilateral politics than in the ring and boxing”, Hoxhaj said.
Even when the 10 percent tax decision was made, Hoxhaj was laid down as a true patriot, calling for a total boycott of Serbian products.
But, it seems, he had forgotten that he once supported Serbian businesses and enjoyed their products in the middle of Pristina.
Weeks ago Periscop reported How in April of this year, Kosovo's Oda Economics had organised a Panair of businesses, in which mostly space was given to Serbian businesses. In the fair dominated by Serbian businesses, no business from Albania had participated.
The participation of Serbian businesses in that Panair was constantly promoted by government officials. One of them was Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj. He once promoted Serbian businesses and enjoyed their brandy, while today he calls on citizens to boycott those products, Periscopi wrote.
But, exactly Hoxhaj months ago at the Business Fair, which was held in Pristina, had praised the participation of Serbian businesses there.
In fact, the Kosovo Economic Oda Fair was dominated by Serbian products, which Hoxhaj had welcomed.
At that fair, he had even chosen to enjoy the brandy of a Serbian business.
Throughout the fair, Hoxhaj had remained closer to Serbian businesses and Serbia's Economic Ode Chairman Marko Cedaz, with whom he decided to celebrate the opening of the fair in Kosovo.
But Hoxhaj changed his attitude for a few months.
Now, he tries to receive praise for the Government's tax decisions, which hit the biggest importer in Kosovo [Serbia], where according to official data there are about 400m euros a year importating products from this state.
During his visit to that fair, Hoxhaj had not said a single word about not participating businesses from Albania, which had decided to boycott.
So in that Panair, out of 174 companies, 70 were from Serbia and only one from Albania./ P ERISCOPIA
