Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj said that in an interview he had given for “Vecernji list” of Zagreb, he had not mentioned creating any pact against Serbia.
He also stated that the title of the text that echoed in the region and what he said there are two entirely different things, Kosovo broadcasts.
I never said anything about creating a regional pact against Serbia! The title of the text and what I've actually said are completely different things,” said Hoxhaj told Montenegrin television Antena M.
He said he stands next to everything else he said about Vecernji list for Serbia's intervention to undermine Kosovo's citizenship, Belgrade's intervention in the internal affairs of Montenegro and Macedonia, as well as the position that regional co-operation stabilises the Balkans and balances Serbia.
“As for my comments that Serbia is conducting an aggressive policy against neighbouring countries and that Western partners should use their influence in Serbia, which is essentially a protracted hand of Russia in the Balkans, are all my well-known positions that I have repeatedly made during the last decade”, Hoxhaj said.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoxhaj earlier stated in an interview with Vecernji List that, on several occasions, during his stay in Croatia, Macedonia and Montenegro, he spoke with the leaders of these countries regarding the creation of a pact that would stay with Serbia and its “aggressive geox1>.
He argued that for the Vecernji List newspaper, saying Serbia continues an aggressive campaign against Kosovo and wants to destabilise the entire region.
Montenegro's Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied today that officials in that country talked about creating a pact against any state in the region, while Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Macedonia never talked to anyone about forming a pact against Serbia.
