Shutting down the Google+ social network almost didn't surprise anybody. From the beginning, Google+ did not impose itself as an alternative to Facebook, and a relatively small number of people used it on regular grounds.
However, Google seems to be preparing to close another service, which can affect a large number of people worldwide.
According to information from the 9to5 Google portal, message and video call service Hangout will be extinguished by 2020. At least as far as private users are concerned.
Other users will have to return to several other applications such as Viber, Whatsapp, Skype, or wait and see what Google will present as replacement for Hangouts.
Meanwhile, Google is trying to make Hangouts users of “convey their Allo app, but so far it has not proved to be a successful mission.
All those who actively use Gmail and Android probably used Hangouts at least once, a service that was introduced in 2013 as a replacement and improvement for Google Talk.
Users complained and rebelled, the app had problems, but in time it became one of the most widely used applications for video calls.
Hangout's main advantage of other applications currently on the market is that the account number did not have a certain number of mobile phones, but only Gmail address. This means that it can also be used in devices that do not have a SIM card on them.
