A man and a woman who were arrested in connection with drone flights at Gatwick Airport in London have been released and no charges have been filed against them, British authorities report.
Frequent flights to this airport had caused traffic failure, Periscope broadcast.
The 47-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were arrested on December 21st under suspicion of “criminal use of drones”.
Authorities have said that drone flights have been a deliberate act to prevent flights to Gatwick Airport.
Since December 19, more than 50 flying devices had been seen in the vicinity of this airport, described as the fears. This has caused the suspension of hundreds of flights.
Flights to the airport returned on December 21st.
Under law in Britain, drones cannot fly into a mile perimeter from an airport, and violators of this law can face up to five years in prison. /Periscopi
