Embarrassed Adam Johnson is still hoping that any football club will offer a second chance in a career after being released from prison next year.
The former Sunderland star is expected in March to be released from prison after serving a six-year term for child sexual abuse, the Daily Mirror script is sent by Koha Ditore.
The 31-year-old has prepared a letter praying to clubs to give another chance. His family is not supporting Johnson's idea and has thus declined to have his letter made public before he gets out of prison.
He has prepared an open letter in which he explains to clubs what benefits they would have if they gave another chance. But the family is not of that opinion”, a source close to his family has said. “The family does not want Adam to be humiliated in this way following the prison sentence he suffered from”.
