Chinese police close over 1,000 accounts on social networks for blackmail

Chinese police have announced they have closed 1100 accounts on social networks because they were blackmailing and insulting people.

Besides these accounts, they've closed 31 websites for the same reason.

According to the police report, these accounts posted negative information and demanded compensation for their elimination.

28 people have been arrested for online blackmail and insults so far.
