The 100 per cent tax on goods coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Kosovo is a measure more political than economic, according to Bosnian Foreign Trade Minister Mirko Sharovic.
The political “Motives are the ones that have forced the Kosovo government to implement these measures, in case the barriers are in question, I should say that Kosovo, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina voluntarily, have decided to be part of the regional trade CEFTA and we have been forced to implement the free circulation of people and goods CHA is also known as a country that has never violated barriers and we have never accepted remarks from CEFTA”, he said.
Sharovic has stressed that this is an economic reason that has forced Kosovo to impose taxes of 100%, and this, according to him, is clear, Clankosova reports.
We will demand that Brussels take measures so that these discriminating taxes are eliminated and we will ask the European Commission to suspend Kosovo”, Sharovic has said.
“This is more political reasons and Bosnia has not accepted any remarks from CEFTA and I say responsibly, and I say this is a violation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, and if the European Commission does not take measures Kosovo will be sanctioned”.
I think the sooner Kosovo removes these measures against Bosnia and Herzegovina is better for Kosovo”, Sharovic has said in an interview for AlJazeera.
