UN Women in Kosovo, in the case of global days against gender-based violence, has maintained symbolic activity in downtown Pristina, making orange lighting, obelisk, “New Born”.
All this is done in order to raise awareness of violence against women and girls.
Rosafa Kelmendi, manager of this project, has said that the reason for the selection of this location is that a symbolic country is selected in all states that conveys a message.
“The orange laws symbolize a brighter future without violence for women and girls”, she said. Otherwise, violence against women in Kosovo is a very negative phenomenon emerging in Kosovo, where only months ago, the husband has killed his wife and daughter in Gjakova.
