Even Bekim Jashar, like Agim Bahtiri, thinks I can unite Mitrovica with petition

The first in Skyeraj, Bekim Jashari, has said that as the Comune chairman supports the initiative of the procedure for changing the Law for administrative borders of municipalities, with the goal of joining Mitrovica.

In this way, Bekim Jashari supports the initiative undertaken by South Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri.

“Today, the signing in Mitrovica has also officially begun, and we as local institutions will support the petition for uniting the city”, Bekim Jashar wrote on his Facebook profile.

At the request of President Agim Bahtiri in Mitrovica today, the signing of the petition for the initiative of the process for change has begun to complete Law No. 03 L-041 for the administrative borders of municipalities aimed at uniting the Northern Mitrovica municipality with the South Mitrovica municipality.

Following the resignation of North Mitrovica municipality Chairman Goran Rakiq, the mayor of the South Mitrovica municipality, Agim Bahtiri had come up with the idea of changing the Law on the administrative borders of municipalities aimed at uniting Mitrovica.

Bahtiri has received support from the Municipal Assembly, but MAPL has declared Mitrovica's Municipal Assembly decision invalid.

At an urgent meeting of the Municipal Assembly, held today, Agim Bahtiri called the Public Administration Ministry's decision “scandalous”, inviting him to reconsider it.

“Today we come to say This is a scandalous decision. We have made a request to the Government of Kosovo and it is very legitimate and I invite the ministry to reconsider and not to leave us at the end of the” road, he said.
