Texas Congresswoman Ted Poe expects Washington to be more involved in resolving the issue of Kosovo dialogue Serbia.
“I think Washington will be more involved and should be more involved in resolving this issue and perhaps the EU moves for a different role, because I think the United States can help encourage not only Serbia, but also Kosovo to sit at the negotiating table in resolving issues they have with”, he told the Voice of America.
According to him, Kosovo was part of the problem, due to its unwillingness to find a compromise and a long-term solution to peace in the region.
He adds that he is pleased that the United States is more engaged in the Western Balkans and believes Congress is doing more.
Poe after the end of this year has retired, and at the new session of Congress in January, the parliamentary group will be replaced by a republican congresswoman from Ohio, Brigadier General Steve Steve Steveers.
