Russian President Vladimir Putin today welcomed American President Donald Trump's announcement of the withdrawal of American troops from Syria, calling it the “fair decision”, writes Periscope.
Mr. Trump said today he would order the withdrawal of troops because his country had achieved the goal of defeating the Islamic State in Syria. But this movement caught many people by surprise, including some of his diplomatic and military advisers.
Also, he has sparked criticism among his party, the Republicans, of abandoning Kurdish allies in the fight against I The SIS and the support of Iran and Russia's geopolitical ambitions in the Middle East. Speaking at the annual media conference, Mr. Putin agreed that the Islamic state had been defeated in Syria.
“Donald is right, and I agree with him,” said Russia's president.
“Anyway,” has added it. “I see no sign of American troop withdrawal. How long has the U.S. said they'd be out of Afghanistan? They do that every year.” /Periscopi
