Two Albanian climbers, Mrika and her father, Arian Nikqi, have returned to Kosovo today after an expedition to Antarctica's frozen continent.
Those from Peja have discussed their experiences and the 11 - day impasse on this continent.
“The expedition was special. We've been through a lot of trouble, 4992 meters to climb. We're the first Albanians to fire that top. I am satisfied with the physical and psychic sustainability of Mrika”, Nikqi said of Klan Kosova.
There was a storm that we saved and then we were trapped for 11 days. We've been prepared to block ourselves, but not for so long. Conditions at the base camp have been basic, standing in tents without heating and”.
Mrika has also talked about the difficulties they have encountered to climb to the Vinson summit, but she has expressed happiness after her return.
