The chief executive of the flights, Gokmen Aritai, described this as a very important achievement for the airport, adding that this is a historic holiday for their operations.
“Today we are gathered here to mark a very important achievement at Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari”. It is my pleasure to welcome the two million traveler of Pristina Airport, and this marks a historic holiday in our operations. Of course, these major achievements are in common with the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Finance with the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Customs and with all other interest parties working with us to have an environment as efficient as possible for our passengers”, he has said.
Aritai said that the number of travelers is always on the rise, where, according to him, it is tremendous success for the airport. He also said the Pristina Airport project is one of the most successful in the world and the region in terms of privatisation.
And, Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj said that at the end of the year they are marking an airport success, where, according to him, it is a message to all companies, and investors that Kosovo is a good investment opportunity.
“This airport has succeeded this year, and it has been certified as an International Airport, and we have also made investments in the stretch of the track so that you honored citizens can take care of it and have a safe trip, so I'm saying, this end of the year, is the end of our joint successes that I commend with the management for a fine job and I tell you from here that we will be powerful supporters of all those diligent workers, but also of companies to have room of action and to be the history of success, said Lekaj.
Naser Sadriu, who lives in Switzerland, has been selected as the two millionth traveler, with the case being awarded by the company.
