Vuciq says Kosovo was rejected from the electricity distribution in the north: Little defeat for them, great victory for us

The European Network of Electric Energy Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E) has rejected Kosovo's request to take over the distribution of the electricity network in the country's north, Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has said today. “We defeated Kosovo at the European Network of Operators of the Transmission System for Electricity (ENTSO-E). “We defeated Kosovo at the European Network of Operators of the Transmission System for Electricity (ENTSO-E). It's a small victory for us, we're happy about this, because Kosovo failed to do what it planned to do in the field of energy “, Vuciqi said, the Serbian newspaper “Blic” reported.
He has said Hungary, even though it has recognised Kosovo's independence, has voted for Serbia and against Kosovo. Also, as he added, Romania, Greece and Bosnia voted against Kosovo's proposal.
“Thank you all for voting against Kosovo in this organisation, but also Montenegro and Macedonia, which this time abstained. For them a small loss, but for us a great victory”, Vuchqi stressed.
He also spoke of Kosovo's application for membership in Interpol, stressing that it is not surprising that Germany supports their application.
But ask me two days ago, I'd say we have no chance of NSO-E, but we did it. Americans and others work for them. We rely on friendship with several states, we will fight until the last moment”, Serbian President Vuciq added.
We remember that Serbia's failure to implement the energy agreement on the part of the system operator, the Transition and the Kosovo Energy Market (KOSTT) to become a member of the European Network of Operators of Electric Energy Transmission System (ENTSO-E).
As a result, COSTT cannot function as an independent block/zone control under the Sincro zone of continental Europe, Koha.net reports.
In 2015, the deal was signed between COST and ENTSO-E. The preconditions for full implementation of this agreement are registration and licensing of the supply company for northern Kosovo.
Serbia has not yet done this. And in the absence of implementation of the deal, Serbian energy transmission operator, EMS, continues to have millions of benefits from alocing the capacities of Kosovo's border lines with neighbouring states. Only in 2017, according to COSTT data, The EMS has estimated 9.6m euros.
