The event occurred near the trans-Balkan road in Vlora.
Vlora police suggested that the blast had been placed in the wounded man's car and erupted around 16.30 Friday.
Agron Allushaj, who is known as a construction entrepreneur and owner of stone, was inside the “Benz” plates AA703NG. He was taken to the hospital immediately.
Doctors suggested that Allushaj is in serious condition while there are injuries on both legs.
Witnesses said that the severe explosion occurred when the vehicle was leaving a wash.
Police have launched investigations into this assassination, while earlier reportedly the businessman has no criminal precedent.
The 48-year-old in hospital intensive care is Vlora's former mortgage director's brother.
Police have been escorting to interview all the laundry workers and sequencing security cameras.
