Deep gratitude to municipal policemen for citizenship shown in front of the party of violence, fire pits! Quick recovery of wounded officers! As in Todrat, Skenderbej Square and the New Bazaar, the work will overcome violence, and the city will triumph over barbarity! Forget about it, Tirana doesn't stop at”, Veliaj writes.
Otherwise, flares were fired during today's protest, toward police officers who were positioned at the city gate.
They also shot eggs at city windows. The situation was tense, including clashes between citizens and police.
Residents affected by the Grand Ring project of nearly 15 days go out in protest daily, demanding that solutions be found for them, saying they will not leave their homes without compensation at market value.
Objects that are broken by the project are those raised from the “target area with arrow” to the “square. Eagle”, both sides of the road.
From the assessment made on the ground are 317 affected objects, which are 163 in the process of legalisation. Meanwhile Mayor Erion Veliaj said that residents with no documents in their homes will receive 3 years' rent, while those who own the paper buildings will receive the grain-to-seed payment.
