Murati through the Facebook account, has said the Serbian list of first tasks has the protection of the interests of Kosovo Serbs, but also its interests towards Kosovo.
The Serbian”List has a primary role, not to protect the interests of Kosovo Serbs, but to Serbia in Kosovo. And so it will be until the removal of the constitutional privileges Serbs have in Kosovo, which would have to be realised through resolving the remaining problems between Kosovo and Serbia. Its role is recently seen even with threats being made to the collapse of the government, due to the 10% tax Kosovo government has imposed on Serbian goods as counterweight of continued activities against Kosovo that Serbia is undertaking in the international arena. So the establishment and functioning of Kosovo governments, which depend on the Serbian minority vote -- on Serbia's interests in Kosovo, respectively -- is completely wrong. Since with this constitution, the presence of Serbs in the government is necessary, our political parties would have to create such governments that would not depend on this vote. In current circumstances (as the LB has insisted that prior to the formation of this government), the most optimistic version would be the creation of a national unity government with a limited one-year mandate and two fundamental tasks: the establishment of consensus for talks with Serbia, as well as electoral reform that would produce a more representative and legitimate legislature. This at first glance seems to work in an ideal situation rather than in such a tense political situation. But really, governments of unity do not come to ideal situations, they are the product of extraordinary and crucial situations like those through which the country is going through. If there is no strength for such a government, we will conduct ourselves in the cyclical circle of internal conflict, and the ongoing condition of the Serbian List. And the country will be blocked, citizens will continue to be disappointed”.
