Ukraine has accused Russia of attacking one of its ships off the coast of Crime, amid growing sea tensions.
A Ukrainian Navy statement reportedly <x0 actions openly aggressive” occurred after three of its ships sailed to Marioupol, the Azov Sea.
Her ship, called Yana Capua, reportedly suffered injuries to his engine, the guard's railway, and the outer branch.
But Russia said the ships were in its waters, and accused Ukrainians of “provocative actions”.
The Azov Sea lies east of the Crimean Peninsula, which was annexed by Russia in 2014 and south of regions held by pro-Russian separatists.
Russia said Ukrainian ships were trying to create a conflict situation in the region.
“The agencies illegally entered Russian territorial waters,”- Russian state security service, FSB.
But Ukraine added that it had informed the Russians of its plan to move its ships across the sea to Mariupol.
The Navy statement underlines that Russian actions violated the UN Convention on the Sea Law.
Tensions have increased at sea in recent months
