Upon returning to America, Trump explodes at European leaders for the cold welcome in France

He stood by them and warmly greeted them in front of the cameras at the ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I in Paris, but Donald Trump has “unbroken” openly expressing all his anger with European leaders shortly after his plane landed in the US.
The American president attacked the EU leaders after French President Emmanuel Macron denounced his brand of nationalism “The America of Pre” and called for the establishment of a European army, independent of the US.
“I just returned from France, where many were held at my meetings with World Leader”, Trump tweeted on Monday.
It is never easy to accept the fact that the United States should be treated fairly, which is not done in both the military and the trade. We pay for large parts of the military protection of other states, hundreds of billions of dollars, for the great privilege of losing hundreds of billions of dollars to the same countries in trade”, the US president added.
Trump's surprise attack came just a day after French President Emmanuel Macron as a close believer of his American counterpart rebuked his campaign message and the brand of nationalism “The America of Para”, comparing it to forces that plunged Europe into armed conflicts at the beginning of the 20th century.
Speaking at a Paris Army Day memorial, Macron did not address Trump by name, but warned that “patriotism is the great opposite of nationalism ... and nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism”.
By speaking our first interests, who cares for others, we wipe out what a people has more loved, what gives life, what makes great and what is essential: their moral values”, Macron stressed.
At a recent rally in the mid-term election campaign, Trump described himself as a <x0-nationalist”, the first time he has done so since taking office. On Monday, the American president's blast against Macron and his European counterparts appeared to have been more prompted by financial concerns than ideological ones.
Trump has often criticised his European allies for failing to meet their defence spending targets, allowing the US to fund Europe's security bill alone. Currently, only five NATO member states -- US, Great Britain, Greece, Estonia and Poland -- share two per cent of their GDP in defence spending, a key requirement for alliance membership.
In 2017, the U.S. spent $686 billion on defence, over twice the cost of the other 28 combined countries.
However, European leaders seem more interested in looking elsewhere for their own defence needs. In a radio interview last week, Macron called for the creation of a true EU army that can defend the continent “pa relied on the United States”.
Macron's opinion was repeated by the liberal Eurodeput Guy Verhofstadt, who said Europe cannot be “unprepared for America's First Policy”.
With commemorations damaged by the grey sky and the rain, Trump also received a “embrace” cooled by activists and French media as well. Before his arrival, French comedian Yann Barthes insulted him in English on his show, telling the Trump of the “to fuck, as he is not welcome in France”, Follows Albanian.
And as the US president's escort paraded past the Champs-Élysées boulevard, a femless protester crossed the barricades and ran towards the president's car with the words “false peacemaker” written on her chest. Police captured the wife and feminist group F EMEN later issued a statement attacking some of the world leaders present at the event, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
