Pacolli: 100% tax on Serbia I've been looking for since 2007

Kosovo Foreign Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli in an exclusive interview for Ora Nea said Kosovo will not withdraw from the 100% tax on Serbian goods.

He said that for such measures against Serbia, he had demanded that they be decided as early as 2007, as the quality of products introduced in Kosovo was suspicious. Pacolli said it is Serbia that violates Ceft, as it has not implemented the agreements reached.

Pacolli: I don't think there'll be any retreat. The measure has been decided. I've been talking about such measures since 2007. I've spoken about systematic non-revolutionative measures. Every country I've gone to, Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, I've demanded that their products be as much present in Kosovo as possible, because I've had a fear of in Serbia working two lines in a factory, one for products coming to Kosovo and one for products that they consume.

Does Cefta step in with this Kosovo movement?

Pacolli: We're not the ones who run the Ceft, the Serb side violates Ceft. We have some agreements with Serbia. If the implementation of these agreements is seen, Serbia has failed to implement these agreements. Even today, Serbia has not implemented any agreements. I am for reciprocity and this reciprocity has now occurred. It could be a more economic than political measure, but conditions have now demanded it also because of Serbia's arrogance and burtality, and such a measure has had to be taken.

Pacolli: Challenge, closure dialogue with Serbia

Challenges continue in terms of Kosovo's integration into as many international organisations as possible. Let's look for consensus from our friends. What remains of importance to us is besides the challenges of visa liberalisation, of Kosovo integration into regional and European organisations, the challenge of dialogue remains.

Kosovo needs to close its statehood. And that concludes with the conclusion of dialogue with Serbia. With the signing of the major peace contract with Serbia, from which Serbia will be obliged to recognise Kosovo's citizenship and pave the way towards UN membership.

Pacolli: Border demarcation with Serbia

Recently, there are some minor disagreements between the political factor in Kosovo. They say our president is about changing borders or dividing Kosovo. That's not true. I know that. Pacolli: Kosovo assets not endangered

Next Meeting of Two Governments in Shkodra

It's an idea and a wish of me that we have only one overlap at one point. This will now begin to apply, and I am happy that this idea has taken the right course. But I'm happy that even my old idea of having an entire Albanian institution that will gather all our heads and they will shift our way in the coming years. This too has taken the right course. Visa liberalisation, Pacolli: We have met the conditions, Europe must make the move

The Kosovo side has carried out every obligation. 95 of our obligations have been fulfilled at the right time. The Europeans who have promised that there will be liberalisation, we are ready. We expect the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs to give the green light. Pristina is running out of patience because here it has played a little bit with our dignity and we have believed in European promises. We have fulfilled all obligations and they must make their move. We're so close. I want this year to be put on the agenda of the Council of Ministers meeting and vote for.
