The failure to include the media in the law on sponsorship was the main reason that the Kosovo Afarism Oda (OAK), along with media representatives, met with Minister of Youth and Sports Metom Gashi.
At this meeting OAK chairman Skender Krasniqi thanked the minister for the reception and stressed that Oda during the joint meetings that have been conducted with media representatives has identified many problems that are distracting and damaging this sector. The law of sponsorship is also seen, in which Oda feels that the media would have to be involved. Not only is this necessary but it is also a great help.
Ardian Lama of Rokum Tv stressed that changing the current law involving the media could be very valuable. This is seen as a very good incentive for sponsorship and would affect media independence.
Ilir Mirena, representative from online media, stressed that the main concern is to find the way the media can get involved in this law, adding that they are willing to offer the necessary support in this regard.
Sejdi Demiri of TChannel stressed that as involved in this law, youth, culture and sports, it is necessary to include the media, and this cannot be seen as a problem. Adding further than the way other subjects involved in the law are monitored, so the media can be monitored, so we have gathered around this initiative together to ask for your support.
Edward Kolnrekaj of Tv Opinion added media involvement in this law would influence this sector to stay better financially, are independent and will have very powerful media.

While Liridon Bahhitari from Klan Kosova stressed that the ratification of this law would be a very good financial push. Compared to Albania, where money from advertising and sponsorships circulates more, Kosovo stands behind.
Minister Gashi thanked participants for the meeting and stressed that they will have full support for the ratification of this law, so it will also form a working group in which such a thing will be initiated.
Gashi also stressed that he supports this change, and the media enjoy full support on his part.
