Kurti, in a Facebook post today, had written about the expensive price of oil for farmers, which has influenced them not to plant their fields.
However, with Kurti's writing, the deputy minister Krasniqi disagrees, who has shown how many hectares planted after this year in Kosovo, and institutional assistance given to farmers.
“E has made a “transit for agriculture” Albin Kurti. The truth is, in 2018, 83515 acres of grain were planted in Kosovo, out of them 74133 hectare of wheat. These farmers have benefited from direct payments (subventions by MBPHR) from 150 euros per hectares, worth 9.7m euros for cereals, of them 150 thousand euros for wheat seed production”, Krasniqi wrote.
It further added that the MBPZHR this year, agriculture through direct payments (subventions) has supported it with 25m euros.
According to him, despite unfriendly climate conditions this summer, Kosovo wheat productivity has reached nearly 300 thousand tonnes of grain.
“in support of agriculture sectors, from the MBPZHR's rural development programme, this year has benefited grants of nearly 600 farmers across Kosovo, worth over 20m euros. The truth is based on fact, not on talk. You found the list attached: The programme for direct payments for 2018<18x1> wrote Krasniqi.
