Spain was defeated 3-2 by Croatia in the end and currently risks first place in the group under the Champions League. The only hope for former world champions is the match between England and Croatia. One draw on this confrontation causes the Enrique team to close first.
The Spanish coach, after the match with Croatia, has stated about the first place in the group: “was a very difficult group and would always have chances to the end. We still have a chance”.
He then analyzed the game and stressed that Spain did not deserve to lose.
“was a second large part of both teams. We were better at the first and deserved better. No circumstances were worth losing. I really liked the team in the second half, we returned the match twice”, Enrique stressed.
“They were lucky at the last minute, when the desperate ones were attacked for everything. We did enough in the second half to win the match, but we caught you in the counterattack. I'm happy with the game. There are things to improve, but I think we didn't deserve to lose”, he finished.
