The Kosovo government on Wednesday declared the <x0 war> to Serbia as an open economic strategy, making the decision to now apply a 100% tax on Serbian products entering our country. Such a decision was welcomed with enthusiasm by local producers, while finding fierce opposition from the Serb side
The Kosovo government at Wednesday's meeting approved the proposal of Minister of Trade and Industry (MTI), Andrew Shala, to increase the customs tax on Serbian products from 10 percent to 100 percent.
The decision has delighted local producers, who show the barriers they have faced so far to export their products to the Serbian state. Minister Andrew Shala, who runs the trade and industry dictatorship, publicly sought out by producers and businessmen to focus on the quality of products and reach the highest standard so that there is no quandary for daily consumption.
He, among other things, immediately imposed Kosovo Customs and other secular mechanisms to begin with implementing the decision. “Citizens, producers, importers and businessmen invite all to join the country's developmental cause and the welfare of the people. I ask manufacturers to focus more on quality. To achieve the highest standards and quality so that Kosovo's citizen is not puzzled about daily consumption and consume local products. Let's all get together and find creative solutions. It is not only Serbia and Bosnia in this region”, the minister said at a media conference.
But it did not give a firm statement on how long this decision will be, given international pressures. The minister responded by saying he has carried out his duty, writes Zeri.
I've done my job with this case. I'm doing my duty as minister. In my competencies as minister and after the analysis of relevant departments, we have proposed this measure and this measure was taken in defense of the country's economy and, above all, in protecting our country's national security”, has clarified, among other things. The minister has invited Dogana and other institutions to immediately implement the decision by preventing the import of Serbian products that, as a distributor, have the inscription “Kosovo of Metohija”.
