Iranian President Calls for jihad Against America

The United States in May withdrew from the nuclear agreement between Tehran and world powers, saying Iran has not respected it.

Washington in August imposed economic sanctions on Iran, which had been removed with the signing of the nuclear agreement, which Iran pledged would contain the nuclear programme.

Speaking before the Conference on Islamic Unity, Rogan said Muslim governments <x0) have elections, or make red carpets for criminals, or force them to stand against injustice and trust our Prophet, our Koran and our Islam”.

The Iranian president also appears to have made a reference to Saudi Arabia and other Muslim states that have close ties to Washington.

Rohan assured Saudis that they are “brothers” and should not be afraid of Tehran.

“We are willing to protect Saudi people against terrorism, aggression and superpowers”, he said.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are regional rivals and support opposing sides in the conflicts in Syria and Yemen. These two states also support different political factions in Lebanon. Tehran also supports militant groups in the Middle East such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

Riyadh has severed diplomatic relations with Tehran about three years ago, after protesters entered the diplomatic office in Iran following the execution of a prominent Shiite clergyman.
