Former Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski through his Facebook profile has announced that Hungary's state has given positive answers to its demand for asylum.
“Today the Republic of Hungary, EU and NATO member states responded positively to my preliminary request for receiving political asylum because of the persecution I am being subjected to in the Republic of Macedonia”, Gruevski announced just minutes ago.
He says the current government of Macedonia, led by Zoran Zaev's LSDM, wants to obtain freedom “using steps and undemocratic methods and misusing the prosecutorial and judicial system in Macedonia”.
Gruevski of Macedonia's courts is sentenced to two years in prison in a special Public Prosecution subject due to abuse of official office, while processes are under way against him for several other subjects with the same charge.
Ten days ago, at the time he was to appear for the punishment of the Shutka prison, Gruevski fled and through Albania, Montenegro and Serbia, with the help of Hungarian diplomats, went to Budapest, where he sought political asylum.
