European Army Putin answers Trump

Putin said that two days after US President Donald Trump on Twitter called “extremely offensive” the call of French President Emmanuel Macron to form a European army.

“Europe is a powerful economic entity, a strong economic union and it is perfectly normal that it wants to be independent, and sovereign in terms of defence and security”, Putin said in an interview for T V RT in Paris, where he attended the ceremony of the final marking of World War I.

Macron said on Tuesday that Europe needed a real <x0ustra” to rely less on the US when it comes to defence.

“We must defend ourselves from China, Russia and even the US,” he said.
