Disillusioned producers not invited to yesterday's meeting between two Governments

The Kosovo Producers Club and the Union of Albanian Producers under “Economic Forum of Albanian National Producers” have expressed disappointment over the failure to include in the meeting, which was held yesterday between governments, Kosovo government and Albania's town of Peja.

The Manufacturers Club and the Union of Producers days ago have expressed their demands and addressed them to both governments, demanding that these be taken into account during this present meeting.

Producers have called for the elimination of trade barriers and the unification of the Albanian national market.

The demands that have been addressed have to do with the problems that producers face during their trade, which have to do with tariff and non-tariff procedures. These are the specific requirements:

Removing payment for scanners in the Republic of Albania for all import-export commercial circulation, Albania-Kosovo; (Request addressed to Albanian government)

Removing payment for customs terminals in the Republic of Kosovo for all import-export commercial circulation, Albania-Kosovo and Kosovo-Albania; (Request addressed to Kosovo government)

Recognification and analysis gain sanitation of all products subject to these tests and certificates; (The request is addressed to both governments)

The mutual recognition of the registration of pharmaceutical products (authorisation for trade) by relevant agencies for Kosovo and Albania producers on both markets. (The request is addressed to both governments)

Acceleration of customs procedures, in dealing with trade and economic driving practices between the two states; (The request is addressed to both governments)

To be completely removed for the producers of the 26th round/round taxes on trucks, as the same presents obstacles to the development and economic co-operation between the two countries; (Request addressed to Albanian government)

Remove all barriers, including excises; (The request is addressed to two governments)

Creation of Albania-Kosovo Joint Development Bank; (The request is addressed to the two governments).

To become part of joint governments' meetings representatives of “The Union of Albanian Producers” and representatives of Kosovo producers' “Klub; (The request is addressed to both governments)

The Kosovo Producers Club and the Union of Albanian Producers under the Albanian National Producers Economic Forum will not stop at their demands until the fulfillment of these by the Government of Kosovo and Albania.
