Croatia's ambassador to Kosovo, Marija Kapitanovic, at the opening of the Croatian language course, said language is the first step through which paths open to recognise new societies and cultures.
“You have the opportunity to learn Croatian, but also exchange cultures by recognising new societies. By learning Croatian, you will have the opportunity to attend master's studies in Croatia”, she said.
Lindita Sejdiu Rogova, dean of the Philological Faculty, said the idea of this project is temporary.
She claimed that it is a mutual investment that is worth much, since, as she said, the very opening of this course means that an Albanian-language charter will be opened at Zagreb University.
“Hopefully next year our governments will sign memorandums of co-operation for exchange of students”, she said.
While Professor Ivanchica Bankovic led me on, she said that she is very happy to have the chance to continue her unspoiled work with students.
Otherwise, 30 Pristina University students have been reported so far, who have expressed interest in following the Croatian language course.
