They are not agreeing to actions that are being taken by the Ministry of Labour and Social Management (MPMS) and the Labour Inspectorate that in any country where there are objects that are being built to have scaffolds.
Labour Chief Inspector Basri Ibrahimi has charged representatives of construction companies with the situation that was created in the construction sector, seeing that within just 10 months, 10 people have lost their lives.
Ibrahim says that this year we have seven cases of workers falling from the height, which, according to him, is the fault of employers because they have not taken any precautions for the health and safety of workers.
This year we have seven high altitude cases. But situations are not improving. And then we started taking some action. But you've only taken cases to tell the inspector that necessary measures have been taken. This is a big trick, so this is very bad for you, and so has the skeleton that no one has ever set up. Because we've predicted that this alone is the only way we can protect the health and safety of the workers”, Ibrahim said.
Ibrahimi has continued the charges against the representatives of the construction companies, saying they have taken no action, not even deciding security.
With this case we have decided to pronounce fines but close them. You didn't even put the seat belt. Not to buy a first shoe, they work with shoes, and those parts are known to have a cook and their lives are at stake. Good luck for you that the workers have not continued judicial proceedings. This is all because of you. Any injuries in the workplace are my responsibility”, Abraham said.
While all of this has challenged Faton Hoxha, representatives from the Association of Construction Enterprises, saying the action they have taken for skeletal deployment is a very rigorous decision.
The last request is not the only measure to confuse the entire object. But there are other measures. There's never after this kind of demand, we're not going to oppose your action, but your move is radical and I can't close down the workshop just ad hok. We are aware that we have many cases of death, but the skeleton as a measure and the decisions you've brought there are not enough square meters in Kosovo to surround the object, give it a set time to tė”, Hoxha said.
