A Chinese writer has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for writing and selling a novel that has included homosexual sex.
The writer, identified as Liu, was sentenced to prison by the court in the province of Anhui for producing and selling the material “shameful” reports bbc.com.
Her novel, entitled “Occupation”, included homosexual behavior of men... including perverted acts such as violence and abuse. )
But the prison's length has sparked protests in Chinese social media.
According to Beijing News, Liu, known online as Tian Yi, has appealed to the court's action.
Pornography is still illegal in China.
