Official Russia declared on Saturday that Afghan President Ashraf Ghan has agreed to send a group of politicians to peaceful talks in Moscow, where a representative delegation of the Taliban will participate.
Russia in August has proposed holding multilateral talks in Moscow, inviting 12 states and Taliban to be present at the summit next month. But the meeting was postponed following the rejection of the Afghan president's invitation, arguing that talks with the Taliban group should be led by the Afghan government.
In a media report, the Russian Foreign Ministry has indicated that the talks are confirmed to be held on November 9th.
The “will be the first time that a political delegation of Taliban will take part in this International Summit”, said the report. /rel
