Following application of National Road tax, less Kosovars go to Albania

Referring to statistics from the Kosovo Police Information Office, it turns out that the application of this road tax has been reflected in the decline in the movement of cars from Kosovo to Albania.
During September 2017, the number of cars that have been through Vremica has been 248.783, and this September their number is 8.874 less, since 239,909 crossings have been registered.
While the number of cars has been smaller, the numbers vary as regards the bus movement in Albania. Unlike September 2017, when 1,830 was registered this same month, there is an increase of 531 exits, as the total number of buses is 2,361.
The increase in movement according to police statistics is also in terms of trucks of 7.5 tonnes and more. Until the same period of the preceding year had 6,573 crossings, this September when road payments began to be recorded 1,744 more cases. In this period the number of exits of these vehicles is 8,317, writes “Prizren's newspaper.net”
Referring to general inflow statistics of both controlled persons and vehicles has been larger this year than last year.
At this crossing, last September, 539,125 persons have been registered, while in this year 667,505. This turns out that 128,380 cases are more this time.
As for the vehicles controlled in the opening and exit cases, this year their number has been for 28,900 more, as last September when there was no road payment, only 163,150 cases were recorded.
The payment fees are as follows: for the 2.5-euro engine, car 5 euros, buses and trucks 11.2 euros, medium trucks 16.2 euros and trucks at 22.5 euros. Based on the notes, according to the international institution's study of concession consultations, during March 2014, March 2015, some 5,000 vehicles were moved daily on the national Road segment.
