Ambassador Minxhozi shows importance of agreements between Kosovo and Albania

The two Albanian delegations from the Government of Kosovo and Albania gathered in the town of Peja yesterday. A total of 9 co-operation agreements were signed at this meeting between the two countries, so that the two countries are approaching economic and regional development.

Regarding this meeting and the achievements of the agreements, Indexline has contacted Albania's ambassador to Kosovo, Kemail Minxhozi.

Minxhozi has declared that such meetings are managing to draw the two countries, and signed agreements are more than necessary.

The “Agreement between Albania and Kosovo has been made mainly in terms of the economy, between the two countries. I think the agreements signed so far have yielded positive effects, as by 2015 there have been identical, but after the agreements have been managed to remove several barriers that were located on both sides of the border. We've made big decisions because we're supposed to make big goods, last year 200 years are about 200 million and 30 million”, Minxhozi said.

On the other hand, he has stated that yesterday's gathering of two governments was focused on agreements dealing with the withdrawal of tariffs.

The tariff gap would be a very good thing for the country in general”, Minxhozi added.

According to him, expectations for next year are even greater in terms of co-operation.

The ambassador has also said it is good for businesses to have concrete exchanges, as a positive side for the future.

“I see agreements as positive, concrete and all agreements in the past, but I believe the best has been to lift tariffs, as the total removal of barriers and the functioning of exchanges between the two countries”, has added Minxhozi.

Seven agreements were reached at the joint meeting of the Government of Kosovo and Albania in 2016:

The agreement for co-operation between the tax and customs authorities of Kosovo and Albania in the field of administrative investigations, tax and customs investigations.

The Joint Training Center Building Agreement.

The Co-operation Agreement between the Ministry of Public Administration of Kosovo and the State Ministry of Innovation and Public Administration of the Republic of Albania for the establishment of capacities in implementing reforms in the area of good governance and public administration.

Memorandum of co-operation between the prime minister of the Republic of Albania and the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for exchanges of experiences and co-operation for implementing better regulation, assessing influence and improving policy development practices;

Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo on proving security periods for realisation of the Law for Pension;

Memorandum Understanding between Albanian Investment Development Agency A IDA and Investment Agency and Support of Enterprises in Kosovo HINAA;

Memorandum of co-operation between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo.

The protocol for technical co-operation in the field of agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development of the Republic of Kosovo for bilateral recognition of veterinary certificates and animal and animal and non-living products;

Memorandum of co-operation between the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Kosovo for co-operation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development;

The meeting yesterday held in Pec ended with the arrival of nine agreements between the two countries.

The focus of these agreements was on lifting tariffs between the two states, seen as very positive for all citizens.

The signing of the Agreement to lift the prices of Rwaming services for public networks of mobile communications between ministries responsible for the field of electronic communications of the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo.

The signing of the Protocol for carrying out joint customs control activities at the joint point of the Morine-Vermica border crossing, between the Republika Kosovo Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Albania.

Signing the agreement on co-operation in the area of public debt, foreign financing and relations with international financial institutions.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for Industrial Property of the RKS and the General Directorate of Industrial Property of the Republic of Albania.

The signing of the Protocol between the Ministry of Agriculture and Ruberial Development of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development of the Republic of Kosovo, for bilateral recognition and the unification of certificates of health, veterinarians and obtaining sanitation that will accompany the burdens of living animals, animal-born products and plant products during imports, exports and transitation between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo.
