Vetevendosje Assemblyist in Pristina municipality Egzon Azemi, through a Facebook post, has said police are waiting for him before the Municipal Assembly to arrest him after the prosecution has issued a warrant for arrest.
Azem says he will not respond to the call and that he does not accept the judgments, which he calls political.
Azema's full delivery:
Kosovo police, early in the morning, came to the house to arrest me because Karadria River prosecutors have issued warrants.
There they found me and knowing that today we have KPF meetings, they have come to the Pristina municipality, civil and uniformed. Now we're at the meeting, and maybe they're still waiting outside.
So I want to announce that the reason we don't respond to such calls is because we will never accept political judgments. Every action until today I have made it with hope and confidence for a better life for the majority, against a minority power that sells and forgives everything for their chairs. And if that's why I have to get arrested, okay... But never with my readiness!
