Thaci travels to Geneva, attends leadership meeting at World Economic Forum

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has today travelled to Geneva, Switzerland, where he will attend the two-day meeting of leaders on the subject “Strategic Dialog for the Western Balkans”.
According to the media statement submitted by the President's Office, at this forum, participants will widely discuss modalities to promote co-operation among policymakers in behalf of a stable Balkans. By identifying common challenges and goals, participants will also discuss how the international community through public-private co-operation can support growth and stability in the region.
Among other participating leaders are Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkoviq, Slovenia's President, Borut Pahor, Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Germany's Defence Minister Ursula von der Leenen, Turkey's Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavuşoğlu, Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the European Union 2018, Lilyana Pavlova, Deputy Secretary of State and Deputy Director of State Affairs in the Federal Department of Switzerland, Centy Catyuoğlu, former Swiss Ambassador to Kosovo Foreign Affairs Ministers and Foreign Affairs, Paris, Paris, Miroslava Srpska, and Serbia's Republika Srpska, and Serbia's Republika Srpska.
Also, in the quality of the executives, there will be Klaus Schweb, founder and executive director at the World Economic Forum, former Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brande, president and board member of the World Economic Forum, as well as Martina Larkin, Director of the Department for Regional Strategy, Europe and Asia, as well as a member of the World Economic Forum's executive committee.
This meeting of leaders in Geneva comes after the current dialogue on the future of the Western Balkan region.
