Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is staying for an official visit to Minsk in Belarus to participate in the Munich Security Conference, where leaders of many states will be participants.
President Thaci has said about RTK that this visit is of particular importance, until it has stressed that the state of Kosovo will present it as a story of success.
He has also spoken of the necessity of an agreement with Serbia, with mutual recognition of states, for the European future.
The Kosovo delegation's participation at this meeting is of great importance for Kosovo because Kosovo for the first time takes part in such a meeting of states represented by the world organised in Belarus, a country that has not yet recognised Kosovo's independence. Therefore, I appreciate that it is a very good opportunity to have contact with representatives of the state of Belarus and representatives of this world that are still in the process of hesitant or are in a process of seeing their decision for the state of Kosovo”, Thaci has said.

“I think that Kosovo's participation in this conference is yet another possibility, but it is really a broader international recognition of the success, progress and reality of Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, as a process completely unstoppable. I will have different meetings with various leaders who are at the conference, of course we will participate in the reception of the president of Belarus who will be held in the openings of his presidency where all the leaders who participate in this conference will also meet with the different leaders of the European Union, former Soviet republics, as well as other countries of the world. So it is a huge possibility of direct communication at a joint conference in a short period of”, Thaci has declared.
